Learn how to paint using a wax-based medium. Encaustic is one of the oldest methods of painting images dating back to the Roman era. Topics covered will be painting with transparent and opaque layers, transfers, collage, pigment sticks and oil paint, and sgraffito, inlay and intaglio. The class will demonstrate these techniques and allow time to make finished works.
